Welcome to Ko Si Chang! A small island 70km south east of Bangkok and only reachable via ferry or 18km of swimming. The first beach of Ko Si Chang Is on the eastern side of the island. Its nice to relax but maybe not the best to swim. Wild dogs and cats on the street are normal on Ko Si Chang! Sometimes they accompany you for some way, sometimes they stay just next to you and looking at you. Everything Without any sound. The most peaceful dogs in the world!
A 1 km hill straight upwards lead us to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and a true secret tip on Ko Si Chang Island, welcome to the Tham Phang Beach! The water in the bay is blue and clear and a small street leads us to the finally to the beach. Guess who is accompany us on the last meters.... Yes! A wild street dog was already waiting at the view point only to accompany us the last meters down to the water. More than that, for several minutes he was also protecting our backpacks. Time to swim in the clearest water since Sardinia Bay. This temple and cave are clearly visible from the streets of Ko Si Chang but reaching them can be a little adventure As the hill goes streight up! The cave is the highlight of the temple. Just enjoy the view. The way to the Buddha statues are marked with smaller statues and forest all around. With a close view to the Buddha statues and a panorama over the island our journey on Ko Si Chang ends.
